About the client

Cocoa Processing Company (CPC) Ghana, the producer of the GoldenTree brand of chocolates and semi-finished cocoa products, wanted to penetrate the Nigerian market, leveraging the 27th Lagos International Trade Fair as a launch pad.

The objectives were threefold: create an experiential platform for a whole range of stakeholders; recruit distributors and the media community to generate awareness and build equity.

Our Work
  • Upticomm commissioned an expansive 72-square-meter pavilion in a high-traffic area at the Food & Drink section of the fair.
  • Car Sticker activation on 700 cars per day for 10 days (7000) to create awareness for the brand
  • Daily flier activations reached over 5,000 attendees during the fair.
  • Experiential taste activation for over 1000 guests
  • TV interviews on NTA, AIT, LTV, and Silverbird, the largest TV networks in Nigeria, reached approximately 50 million viewers with repeated broadcasts.
  • Daily radio hype and live appearances reached over 10 million listeners in Lagos and Ogun States.
  • We organized a Media and Distributors’ Forum to unveil the GoldenTree brands in a classy five-star hotel.
  • We arranged a Tour of Oke Arin Market, the most popular consumer market in Lagos, for CPC Officials to engage potential distributors and sample products.
Outcome
  • An estimated 10 million eyeballs greeted the GoldenTree brand during and after activation.
  • CPC participation generated 90 leads registered for distributorship.
